(To the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star")
Welcome, welcome, everyone.
Join me for some storytime fun.
We'll share some books and sing some songs.
Help me please and sing along.
Welcome, welcome, everyone.
Storytime has just begun!

Action Rhyme: To School (Kidstuff Vol.5 No. 9)

This little boy is ready for school,
Down the pillow he lays his head
Pulls up the covers, snug and tight,
And this is the way he sleeps all night.
Morning comes, and he opens his eyes.
Quickly he pushes the covers aside,
Jumps out of bed, puts on his clothes,
And this is the way to school he goes.

What I Learned:
This was my very first storytime ever! As can be expected, I was very nervous. Using the previous storytime persons notes as an example of what to do, I had lots of books and a couple songs/rhymes and a craft. I learned that the amount of books needs to be limited to around three and I needed to do more rhymes and songs. I also had about 30 people for this and they ranged in all ages from birth to 5 years with their parents and it was a very full room. The library had never had this many people come to a storytime.
